Note To Bob Bradley

Dear Bob,
Please, for the love of everything holy, do not ever let Freddy Adu take another corner kick. He has proven time and time again that he cannot take them. Unless you want to immediately turn the ball over, like in the Mexico game, then by all means let him loose.
Love,
America

Adu's corner was the best corner taken by the U.S. in the game. He actually got it up and over the first defender. Take Freddy's name out of your post and insert Landon Donovan, and it would be accurate.

Corner kick?
I have a hard time understanding how Adu makes the US roster to be honest...I still think he is largely unproven and getting caps based on name alone.

Scads, I have to agree with you. I think a lot of his reputation has been built on that one good game in the U-20s vs. Brazil. I still haven't seen much on the full international level. The potential is there, but will he ever reach it?

Also, Jeito, I'm not sure which game you were watching. Yes, it cleared the first defender, but it also went to a cluster of green shirts. There wasn't a USA player within 20 yards of that corner. Hell, if all you want is someone to loft it over the first defender with no regard to where it goes, sign me up! Even I can do that. Adu sucks at corners. Period.

(ps-sorry, this response came out a little more "dick-ish" than intended. No offense meant ok? :) )
