Hello there internet land kids, and welcome to the Royal Review. A (probably) sparsely updated blog about MLS team Real Salt Lake. I mainly will post recaps of games, but if I feel the need to post other things (previews, news, commentary) it will go here. This is also being designed to be the official RSL home of the Ben Cup, a yearly rivalry between RSL and DC United. So thanks for coming by and enjoy the blog. Ye Olde Ben Cup
The Ben Cup is a yearly rivalry between MLS foes Real Salt Lake and DC United. It was started in 2006 by two friends, both named Ben (obviously). The winner is decided based on the results of non-exhibition/friendly matches between the two teams. In the case of a tie, goal differential is used. If goal differential is also tied, then away goals are used as a second tiebreaker. If that is also even then the Ben Cup is considered a tie for that season and the previous year's winner retains the Cup.
